Motherhood from Her View

How I Mom: Motherhood from Her View

April 28 2021

This Mother’s Day at Oak & Luna, we are celebrating all the accomplishments you’ve made as a mother and along the way. From experiencing one of the greatest joys of life to being a woman of passions, interests, and pursuits. Being a mom is the best reason you’ll ever have to take care of you. You are learning about strengths you didn’t know you had. We reached out to some of the beautiful women that represent Oak and Luna to discover what motherhood means to them.

Motherhood is one big tireless loop of cooking, cleaning, nap time and play time and as soon as they’re asleep you miss them.

I have found motherhood to be empowering. It’s incredible what our bodies are capable of. We create life, birth that life, and then nourish life. No matter how exhausted we are our body keeps going. It’s empowering how strong we are.

Motherhood has revealed the strength I didn’t know I had and a new version of myself, both mentally and physically. It is also the most difficult, yet most important contribution and achievement that will come from my life.

“Being a mother” means being completely and totally overwhelmed (in the best way possible) by love, joy, responsibility, and selflessness.
